Reassessment Update
Board of Assessment Review decisions were mailed 6/19/09.
The Final Assessment Roll will be filed and made available by July 1.
July 1, 2009 - The Final Assessment Rolls are available in our office at city hall, at the North Tonawanda Public Library and on this webpage.
The first tax bill to be calculated using the new 2009 assessments will be the school tax bill in September 2009, followed by the county tax bill in February 2010 and city tax bill in April 2010.
The 2008/2009 tax rates below should be lowered for 2009/2010 due to the reassessment.
Your Impact Notice mailed in March of this year gave you an idea of what the reduction would be.
As the actual tax rates are determined the chart below will be updated.
The rates are normally set about 2 weeks prior to the tax bills being mailed out.
* - Just a reminder: due to many property owners letting us know that our photos are getting outdated, we are in the process of updating photos of each property in the city.
Last web page update
was:
June 30
, 2009.
Beginning with the 2009 Asessment Roll, properties will have a stated uniform level of assessment of 100%.
Our office will make every
effort
to ensure all properties will be at this uniform percent of market value.
